COMPANY BACKGROUND

While serving as a golf professional in North Carolina, Joe Froelich’s club was “secret shopped”.  The company came unannounced and a couple of weeks later provided the club with their analysis.  Joe evaluated the final report.  Even though the company conducting the analysis was reputable and respected, it was by no means a golf company.  It was obvious that the person writing the report was not familiar enough with the golf business and how a golf operation should work.  Joe knew he could do better.

Joe told fellow PGA Professional Clayton Garland about his idea a few months later.  He told Clayton about what had happened at his club and how he wanted to start a company that offered facility analyses.  Clayton agreed that they had something to offer, and the two of them founded Global Golf Consultants with the initial focus being on conducting facility analyses and helping golf courses provide the best experiences for members and guests.

While at the same facility Joe dealt with many companies and organizations holding golf outings and tournaments.  He realized that many times the people organizing the events for the company/organization were not golfers and in many cases knew very little about putting on a golf event.  It is out of this experience that the Golf Event Planning and Execution segment of GGC was born.

Global Golf Consultants believes in giving no less than 100% to every client.  We feel that professionalism and hard work will ultimately drive the company’s success.  However, hard work is not enough.   Success is measured by results.

With help from the Golf Tournament Association of America (GTAA), we strive to be the best tournament organizers in the Carolina's.  With every service we offer we will always conduct ourselves in a professional manner, consistent with the founders’ role as PGA Professionals.
